Cobb County residents may recall Deputy Scandrick’s remarkable dedication to our community, spanning an impressive 30 years of service. Despite retiring in 2017, his passion for public service brought him back as a part-time deputy in 2019, where he has been diligently serving in Court Security.

However, Deputy Scandrick has recently faced a challenging health issue, causing him to be away from work for some time. It’s during these difficult moments that our Cobb Sheriff’s Foundation truly shines. Thanks to their generosity, Deputy Scandrick received much-needed assistance to alleviate a portion of his health expenses.

Just the other day, Major Petrie of Cobb County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), had the honor of presenting Deputy Scandrick’s brother, Robby Scandrick, with an envelope containing a heartfelt donation from the Cobb Sheriff’s Foundation – Care, Compassion and Fallen Fund. Although Col. Mehling and LTC Williams wished to be present for this touching moment, their commitments unfortunately kept them away. We want to emphasize that the contribution was not from CCSO or Court Security, but rather a compassionate gesture from the Cobb Sheriff’s Foundation. Major Petrie simply had the privilege of facilitating the connection and handing over the check.

This act of kindness exemplifies the unwavering support and solidarity within our CCSO community, showcasing how the Cobb Sheriff’s Foundation steps up to assist our own during times of need. Let’s continue to rally around Deputy Scandrick and each other, embodying the spirit of compassion and camaraderie that defines our CCSO family.
