Sheriff Craig D. Owens, Sr.:

Chair Brent C. Brown:

“I’ve served on countless non-profit boards and chaired most, but I couldn’t be more excited about the opportunity to be the inaugural chair of the Cobb Sheriff’s Foundation. We’ve spent many hours putting together the perfect board. Our new board members don’t need anything else on their resume, they are busy folks with the right motivation and drive to make a difference in our community. The best thing is that all of the board members when asked to serve, enthusiastically said yes!

The Cobb Sheriff’s Foundation will first and foremost provide assistance to the men and women of the Cobb Sheriff’s Office. These dedicated people sacrifice a lot to answer the noble calling to serve and we want to be there to serve them, be a safety net of sorts. We all love this community, and we also look forward to being a force and force multiplier to the many worthy causes. Finally, I have to say having the opportunity to work with and become good friends with Mr. Robert Haley, Cobb Sheriff’s Foundation’s Executive Director has been an incredible privilege. He is a force of nature, a true gentleman and with him leading – hold on because this will be one of the premiere nonprofit organizations that Cobb has ever seen.”

Executive Director Robert G. Haley:

The inaugural year of the Cobb Sheriff’s Foundation, Inc. witnessed prolific success. The certification and approval of the Foundation as a 501c3 non-profit Independent Charitable Foundation was received from the State of Georgia and the Internal Revenue Service in record time. Twenty highly prominent and recognized leaders in Cobb County, past and present, agreed to serve as founding members for the Board of Directors. We received extraordinary support and a vote confidence from Sheriff Craig D. Owens, Sr. and his Command Staff.

The inaugural fundraiser, a golf classic, was held on July 26 at the beautiful Pinetree Country Club in Kennesaw, Georgia. It was a sellout with thirty-three teams competing and the corporate, individual, and volunteer support was exceedingly amazing.

As I assume the role of Executive Director and with 2021 behind us, the Board of Directors and I are excited about 2022. The Foundation will continue this gratifying start, collaborating with community partners, corporate partners, and volunteers in pursuit of our major goals.

On a very personal note, I am committed to ensuring that the agency personnel and the Cobb County residents receive the services and support they deserve. We will build our capacity to meet the needs that we believe to be critical during this administration. I look forward with great anticipation to the years ahead.

Again, thank you for your vote of confidence.
